Google G2 Android myTouch | Must Have

We recently ordered and received a Google G2 my Touch smartphone [5 day delivery: Sat.-Thurs.]
WOW, I am impressed. This is ‘must have’ technology for anyone who wants to stay connected.
I do have to admit that my old phone did seem adequate. It made calls and received calls with the occasional dropped calls or poor call reception acknowledged as part of the service we paid for with a major carrier and a 2 year contract included.

Google G2 Android phones have plenty of programs available, ‘everything Windows OS’ downloads and operates on a very convenient HVGA 3.2 touch sensitive screen. Sync your phone service to your Gmail account,import contacts, send and receive email, text message, data transfer, take pictures/videos with the 3.2 megapixel color camera and send, or upload to web services such as Youtube.

Browser speed is very good and easy to navigate on the touch sensitive screen which also has a very impressive search feature to highlight expand the on screen view or open multiple windows and switch between browsers with a finger touch of the screen. The home screen expands out (right – left flick ) to move and personalize with apps, folders, pictures, widgets + more options.

The onboard WiFi connection is scheduled for expanded coverage with WiMax to be included with service upgrade. Bluetooth allows for tethering between laptop or headphones. Voice commands can be configured on your phone settings to allow easy hands free control. The keypad is very functional, even with ‘man-sized’ fingers. Simply changing the phone orientation by rotating 90 degrees expands for a fuller screen and keyboard. Tracball feature makes easy work of scrolling web pages, email, apps. The tracball protrudes out just enough for easy use but not too much to be an obstruction.

Guys, never get lost again. I know we don’t get lost, we just sometimes end up taking an alternate route. With Google maps feature at the touch of your finger tips, GPS navigation and voice command is a breeze. You’ll be the ultra metroguy able to find the hot night spots, good restuarants, navigate and shortcut road closures to the stadium plus so much more.
